I am an Engineer, Scientist and a Doctor which is normally a rare combination.
I took my Bachelor of Science degree (B. Sc) from Mysore University in the year 1960 and then Master of Science (M. Sc., Bio Chemistry). Later studied Electronics and Communication Engineering through British Institute of Engineering Technology (BIET), Kensington, London, enrolled as Associate Member of Institute of Engineering Technology (AMIET). I studied Homoeo Medicine during the centenary celebration of Dr. Haneman the father of Homoeo medicine. I got Gold medallist certificate for my Homoeopathy course. I finished my DIISC from Indian Institute of Science ( Bangalore)and also took up a vocational course in Television Engineering. Mean while passed my Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA). I studied Post Graduate Diploma in Statistical Quality Control (PGDSQC) offered by Indian Institute of Statistical Quality Control (Calcutta), and elected as corporate member of Indian Association for Quality and Reliability MIAQR). I represented M/s Bharat Electronics in Standardization of microwave components, Active and passive electronic components etc both in LRDE and Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) during 1994-96. Took up other activities like Amateur Radio Activity, passing ASOC –Advance Grade Examination and have been a Ham since 1970. Have contacted hundreds of station including Arctic and Antarctic zones, and having valid call sign as VU2DNR.
I have been elected to corporate membership of Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) for life time (MIETE). I am elected as life time corporate member of International Microcircuits & Packaging society (IMAPS) India chapter (MIAPS). I do hold the member ship of National Geographic Society (MNGS).
Have successfully passed/completed a course of Certificate in Quality Audit (CQA) of
Institute of Standards Engineers (SEI). I have been granted the Fellowship of Institute of Standards Engineers (Fellow SEI)for life time. I do hold the membership of several Institutions and organizations. I am now a retired person and un able to take more active participation in public services.
